Pimento Cheese & Bacon Dog

  1. Prepare your classic pimento cheese.
  2. Using toothpicks on each end, wrap your hot dogs with bacon.
  3. Preheat your air fryer or oven to 400 F degrees.
  4. Cook your hot dogs in the air fryer for 18 to 20 minutes at 400 F degrees. Check periodically after 10 minutes and cook to the doneness you prefer for the bacon. If using an oven, cook at 400 F degrees for 18 to 20 minutes. Check periodically after 14 minutes and cook to the doneness you prefer for the bacon. Note: You can also cook it on a grill but cook time will vary based on the heat of the grill and placement on the grill.
  5. Assemble the hot dog: hot dog bun, bacon wrapped hot dog, pimento cheese, and pickle spear (optional). Add some sliced jalapeños if you would like.

Classic Pimento Cheese

Ingredients

  • 8oz Mild Cheddar Cheese – shredded
  • 8oz Jack Cheese – shredded
  • 4oz Cream Cheese – softened and cut into cubes
  • 4oz Pimentos – diced
  • 1/2 Cup Mayo
  • 1/2 Tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/4 Tsp Cayenne
  • 1/8 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/8 Tsp Onion Powder

Directions

  1. In large bowl, place all of the ingredients and mix well with a hand mixer on low for 2 to 3 minutes. Ensure that you incorporate all of the ingredients until it is smooth.
  2. Place in a container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  3. Serve and enjoy!

Kicked Up Pimento Cheese

Ingredients

  • 8 Oz Sharp Cheddar Cheese – block
  • 8 Oz Monterey Jack Cheese – block
  • 1/2 Cup Mayo
  • 4 Oz Jar Pimentos
  • 2 Tbs Pickled Jalapenos – diced
  • 1 Tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 Tsp Cayenne
  • 1/4 Tsp Paprika

Directions

  1. Shred the cheese blocks and set aside.
  2. Combine the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Add the cheese to the bowl and fold everything together to combine.
  4. Place in a container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  5. Serve with your favorite chips, crackers, or vegetables. Enjoy!

NOTE: You can also use this in a grilled or on top of a burger.
